Everyday Makeup

Today I thought I would show you my everyday makeup.

For base, I use the Revlon Colorstay foundation and I am in the shade 220 Natural Beige in case you are interested. I use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade light and for powder I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte in 005 Silky Beige - it is a tad too dark but with light coverage it looks fine.

To contour and highlight I use the Sleek Face form in light and I do use the blush a lot but lately I've been using the Dainty Doll Cream blush in 001 Paper roses basically everyday as it gives such a lovely finish.

For Mascara I use the Avon Super Magnify Mascara. I don't always wear eyeliner, but when I do I use the Rimmel London Waterproof Gel Eyeliner. I also don't always wear eye-shadow but when I do I mostly use the Naked Basics palette and when I don't, I just use a Mac eye-shadow in the shade Naked Lunch to highlight under my brow.

I haven't included any lipsticks as I don't wear them on a daily basis however if you would like to see which lipsticks I wear most let me know down below and I will do a separate post down below. Please comment with other post requests down below too. Remember to follow my bloglovin - link. I hope you enjoyed reading, thank you.

Sleek Face Form - Review

When I bought this I actually intended to buy the Sleek Face Contour but unfortunately they stopped selling it at the shops near me so I bought this as an alternative. I spoke about this briefly in my February favourites (time has gone so fast!) - Link.

The Basics -

This is £9.99 and can buy it from Superdrug or you can purchase it online. It claims to "Face Form is the ultimate contouring compact and definitive accessory for nailing that chiselled supermodel look. Bound in a luxurious hand-bag-friendly palette, complete with a mirror for on-the-go application, each shade variant contains different products to suit specific skin tones." They do shades in Fair, Light, Medium and Dark and I purchased it in Light.

Like all Sleek products, the packaging is very.. um.. Sleek! I love the packaging as it is very slim and makes it easy to travel. It does get dirty easily but it is so easy to clean with just a swipe of a wet-wipe and then it is good as new. The products that you get inside (from left to right) are a contouring powder, highlighting powder and a rose gold blush (in the shade medium you get a bronzer instead of a blusher and in the dark you get a dark bronzer). I think having all 3 of these in 1 palette makes travelling just so easy as you have it all in one, also with such a big mirror inside you can literally apply it anywhere!

The product itself -

The powder contour: This is the perfect colour for me to contour with and as there are 4 different shades I'm sure you could find one to suit you too. This is almost completely matte - All bronzers have a little bit of shimmer in, but this literally has none - which makes it perfect to contour with.
The powder highlighter: Aw this is so pretty. It gives such a perfect glow to my skin and if they sold this one on it's own I would definitely buy it!
Rose gold blush: This blush is supposedly a dupe for the oh so talked about Orgasm by Nars - I don't know this myself as I don't own it. It is seriously so so pretty I cannot even explain you just have to go and look at this! "Rose Gold" is the perfect name for this as it is just a rose gold colour! It has tiny speckles of gold colouring in it which look so pretty whilst on the skin.

All of the products are very highly pigmented and blend out so effortlessly. I have oily skin and I still find that they last a really long time on the skin.

If you can't tell by now, I really would recommend this and I would recommend it to anybody and everybody! Remember to follow my bloglovin as GFC is closing down - Link. Also, I know that usually my posts are aligned in the center but this one just wasn't working - sorry!

Hope you enjoyed reading! Chloe xx

Recent purchases

So apparently when I get time off of school I buy things and considering I've had 2 weeks off of school, I've bought quite a lot. I don't usually do these posts but I thought I would try it for once and if you like it please let me down in the comments below.

Finally I bought the Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay... Yay! I have been wanting this palette for so long and now with Prom coming soon, it was the perfect excuse!

I then ordered a Mac lipstick in the shade Velvet Touch in the finish of Matte. The closest that I can purchase Mac products is an hour away on the train and so I was quite scared of buying a nude over the internet because of not being able to see how it turns out on my skin tone, but I really like it! I love the shade.

I also got a Lipglass in the shade Oyster. This and the lipstick were also bought 'because of prom' as well as practically every other makeup product I have bought in the last month haha. This lipglass looks lovely over the lipstick and I can't wait to wear it to prom.

The kabuki brush I used to use was applying my powder way too heavily and just making it look so cakey on my skin so I decided to invest in the Real Techniques Powder brush and I'm so glad I did. I'm really liking this so far.

Buying the Naked Basics palette was a great excuse to buy some new eye-shadow brushes. I'm excited to use these as I've heard great things.

If you like these type of posts please let me know down below as well as any other post requests you may have. If you want me to do full reviews on any of these products also let me know down below. Remember to follow my bloglovin - link - as gfc is closing down. Thank you for reading.

Mac Lipstick in Lady Bug - Review

I have a few Mac lipsticks now but I thought I would talk to you about this one because 1) it is my most recent 2) it has really impressed me.

The Basics -
This Mac Lipstick is a Lustre finish which means it is demi-sheer with a wet-look lustre finish, it makes lips look soft, smooth and ultra-moist. This lipstick is £14 as it is just from the regular Mac Lipstick line.

The Product itself -
Although I have a few, this was my first lipstick in the finish of lustre so I wasn't sure what to expect. I usually prefer matte lipsticks as I don't often have dry lips and I find that if they aren't matte, they usually come off really quickly and I don't like to reapply. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this lipstick stayed on all day! I didn't have to reapply once. This is one of the main 2 reasons why I love this lipstick as I don't have to reapply it because it has such longevity.

The second main reason I love this lipstick is because of the colour. Sometimes I can have trouble trying to find a red lipstick which matches my skin tone but this one is perfect. It has yellow undertones as opposed to blue so it is a warmer red. The colour is also very pigmented and buildable to the strength that you want it.

This is one of my favourite Mac Lipsticks which I own and I would recommend it if you were looking for the perfect yellow undertoned red. Thank you for reading, if you have any blog post requests for me please let me know down below.

If you want to do a button swap then just put my button on your blog, comment either on this post or on my other page - link - and I will put your button on my blog straight away!

Keeping the brushes clean!

I think keeping brushes clean is an important thing and something that I have never talked about on this blog before so I thought I would do a post explaining how I wash mine. Everybody washes their brushes differently and so this is just my way, I hope it can be helpful for you.

First of all I wash my brushes roughly once a week and I wash all of my brushes that have been used at least once. I don't bother on spending a lot of money on expensive brush shampoos because as long as it does the job I don't see the point! So at the moment I am using the Tesco Everyday Value Baby Shampoo.

I get all of my dirty brushes together and take them and the shampoo down to the sink. I put a blob of the shampoo on my hand and move the brushes in circular motions around my palm, until the shampoo gets all foamy and finally the brush will be clean!

Finally, to let them dry I keep them on a towel and leave them over night ready for use the next day.

Although it was very simple, I hope this could be somewhat helpful to somebody. Please leave post requests down below and remember to follow my bloglovin - link - as GFC is shutting down. Thank you so much for reading.

Recent Empties

These empties are all a bit random really and there are no makeup products in here either! This is a new type of post for me but if you like it then let me know and I will be doing them more often.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry - I love this! I use this most days that I don't wash my hair and it really does freshen it up and takes away all of the grease. I have already repurchased this!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original - I love all of the Batiste Dry Shampoos that I have tried but unfortunately not this one. This one doesn't seem to make that much of a difference to my hair. Obviously I have finished it so it was okay, but I only wash my hair twice/ three times a week and this is only okay on the first day that it hasn't been washed. I won't be repurchasing this one.

Women Sure Long Lasting Protection deodorant - This is my favourite deodorant that I have tried! This is the only deodorant that I use now and have again already repurchased it.

ELF Brush Shampoo - Um I don't really have much of an opinion on this. I used this once a week for my brushes and it lasted 3 months which is very long lasting! But apart from that, yeah it did the job but I probably won't repurchase this yet as that would mean paying P+P delivery too. It was okay but it didn't shock me or anything it was just okay.

Nivea Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover - I really like the smell of this haha. It isn't a heavy smell, it is just fresh and it's really nice. It get's the main bits of makeup off but I'm always left with small traces of mascara and eyeliner still on. It probably lasted me about 1-2 months.

I don't have pictures of these next 3 as they are candles and now that they are empty they are just glass jars! I thought I would include them anyway.

Vanilla Wax Filled Glass Candle - This candle is from Dunelm, it was 99p and oh my god I love it!! It smells incredible, it makes my room smell incredible and wow! I have already done a review on this - link.

Cherry Scented Candle in Glass -  This candle is also from Dunelm and hm... I liked it. It was nothing special but it was only 49p and yeah I liked it.

Primark Candle in Vanilla - This was only 99p from Primark. I was disappointed with this candle purely because in the glass container it smells so so good but none of it really gets let out when being burned.

Spring Nails

In this post today I am going to be telling you all about my favourite nail polishes for Spring! Spring is actually my favourite Season for Nail Polishes so it gets me very excited.

From left to right - Illusion, Vintage Blue, Lemon Sugar, Luxe Lavendar
Illusion - This is a bit of a different type of colour to the others in this post but I still really like it. Describing this colour is so difficult because the colour that reflects off of it in the light is purple-y and slightly green but the main colour is kind of a white but it isn't bright... so maybe a light grey? It is so difficult to describe but I think it will also look great with a tan! I am currently writing a post for this nail polish so look out for that.

Vintage Blue - First of all I love the forumla of AVON nail polishes and this is the perfect pastel blue!

Lemon Sugar - I've always wanted to wear yellow on my nails but I find that it can be quite tricky to wear without looking severely ill! So I was so happy when I found this because it just looks so pretty.

Luxe Lavendar - This reminds me very much of the Vintage Blue... maybe just because I bought it at the same time haha but they really do remind me of each other as they have the same sort of tone. It is a great pastel purple to have and I would really recommend you to get it!

From left to right - Mint Green, Peach Melba, Blue Moon

Mint Green - The perfect green for Spring. I know I'm saying it for all of these polishes but I truly do love them all.

Peach Melba - I only bought this last week but I can already tell that I am going to love it. I find with 'peachy' colours like this one, they are always too dark or too sheer but this one is perfect.

Blue Moon - Not in the bottle, but when it is on the nails it looks practically exactly the same as the AVON Vintage Blue which I just talked about. I would say that if you have one you really don't need both but I thought I would mention both in case you can't get one or the other.

Gone Fishing
Gone Fishing - Topshop nail polishes have such a good formula. They apply really easy and are very long-lasting. This colour is also very pretty and will show off a tan great! I can't wait to wear this more.

Have you got any polishes for Spring that you think I'd like? Please let me know down below if you have!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!
